A snapshot of what I'm spending time on. Updated periodically. Inspired by Derek Sivers' /now movement.
Work
SDE II at AWS. Day-to-day is a mix of distributed-systems design, operational engineering, and tech-leading cross-team launches. Currently building internal utilities for the team on top of Bedrock and SageMaker — the goal is to move the repetitive parts of operational-review and readiness work onto an agentic pipeline so the engineers get their time back for harder problems.
Reading
- Agentic AI + the Model Context Protocol. Reading widely on MCP and the tooling layer around model-serving — how to give agents real capabilities safely, and what good agent-loop design actually looks like in production.
- Post-quantum cryptography. The migration story from RSA / ECDSA to lattice-based signatures is a genuinely interesting systems-engineering problem, not just a math one. Rolling a new cipher across every layer of the internet at once is a real operational puzzle.
- Quantum computing, applied side. How useful is it going to be in the next decade, and which problems are going to feel it first. Less theoretical math, more what-ships-when.
Outside work
Running an active personal portfolio — equities and some derivatives. Investing is a good forcing function for reading outside your lane.
Cooking Indian food, more than I used to. My mom is a better cook than me. That will not change.
Focus
Most of my energy is going into the work at AWS — shipping the agentic-AI tooling for the team, and going deep on the three reading threads above. The compounding returns on fewer, bigger bets are showing up, and I'm leaning into them.
